Amateur Extra Class Class

posted Apr 1, 2014, 10:45 PM by Charles Boling
Many of you have inquired about this over the past year, and someone's finally holding one.  I'll put it on the events calendar when I have firm dates (it appears to be the first 3 Saturdays in September).   If you're interested, let Delvin know right away.

The Clark County Amateur Radio Club will sponsor an Amateur Extra class in September.  Class sessions will run from 9 AM to 3 PM each day.  The CCARC VE team will administer the test on the third Saturday (Sep 27) starting about 1 PM.  All class sessions will meet at the LDS church located at 7101 NE 166th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98682.  Instructors will be Delvin, N7QMT, Phil, AC7NB, and Steve, N7VHT.

Since this will be a rather intensive abbreviated course (some courses last 12 weeks), we strongly recommend that you enroll early and acquire a study guide so you can start studying before class.  Delvin, N7QMT, will order manuals soon and sell copies for $27.  To enroll, please send an email to HamLicenseClass@w7aia.org and will we add you to the class roster.  We anticipate a large class, so please enroll early.

We plan to advertise this class on the ARRL website in about a week.  We expect a number of hams in the area will want to enroll if we have space when the class is more widely known.  Prospective students must enroll for this class since we do not expect room for walk-ins.
